Dynamical Reconfiguration of Node Weights

 

 

 

This recording shows a method using dynamical reconfiguration of node weights

The left side of the recording shows the transport network and the attractant nodes. The diameter of the node is proportional to the node weight.

The right side shows the logical connectivity of the transport network from the collective 'memory' of particle movement. Thicker connections indicate stronger (more frequently travelled) paths. The circles surrounding the nodes are colour coded to indicate inhibition of the node (i.e. decreasing node weights, in red) and excitation of the node (i.e. increasing node weights, in green).

decay of network memory is set to: 1 which gives a very short memory of connectivity and thus less network adaptation.
