Anna Nikolaidou holds a master’s degree in Architectural Design (Advanced Virtual and Technological Architecture Research) from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. She completed a BA (Hons) in Architecture degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture and she is an EU registered architect.
She is a programme leader for the BSc (Hons) Architecture course and a senior lecturer in Architecture at the University of the West of England. Her research focuses on body architecture, biosensing exoskins, biomaterials and fabrication technologies. She is looking at the development of intelligent and responsive bio-wearables to increase the adaptability of the users in the built environment and its changing environmental conditions.
Before joining academia, she has gained a broad range of experience in the industry working for several national and international practices in a range of sectors including architecture and design.
